Unfortunately the lint screen in your dryer doesn’t catch all the lint. The lint that escapes, goes through the dryer and into the dryer vent line.
Over time, the lint builds up and restricts the flow of air exiting the dryer. When this happens, the dryer does not work properly and efficiently.
Here is how to tell if your dryer is not working efficiently:
- It takes longer and longer to dry your clothes.
- The dryer gets excessively hot.
- There is a burning smell.
If you experience any of these symptoms, you need to contact Urbandale Air Duct Cleaning and have them come out and clean out the dryer vent line. Once they get it cleaned, they will test it with a special instrument that will verify that the line is clean and the dryer is working properly.
