Free dryer vent cleaning when you schedule air duct cleaning
Lint is highly flammable!
A build up of lint can cause it to stay trapped inside the dryer. If the dryer gets too hot, it can ignite the lint causing a dryer fire.
Keep the dryer vent line clean!
It is recommended to clean your dryer vent line every couple of years unless you do more than average loads. If you do a lot of drying, clean the vent line every year.
Unfortunately the lint screen in your dryer doesn’t catch all the lint. The lint that escapes, goes through the dryer and into the dryer vent line.
Over time, the lint builds up and restricts the flow of air exiting the dryer. When this happens, the dryer does not work properly and efficiently. Here is how to tell if your dryer is not working efficiently:
It takes longer and longer to dry your clothes.
The dryer gets excessively hot.
There is a burning smell.
If you experience any of these symptoms, you need to contact Urbandale Air Duct Cleaning and have them come out and clean out the dryer vent line. Once they get it cleaned, they will test it with a special instrument that will verify that the line is clean and the dryer is working properly.
If you continue to run your dryer longer without cleaning the dryer vent line, you risk higher energy bills and replacing parts that wear out on the dryer.
